AGC Ranges and Facilities

Barnes Range

The Barnes Range is a 100 point rifle range with target holders prepositioned at 25 yard, 50 yard, 75 yard, and 100 yard distances.  Calibers permitted on the Barnes range vary from .17 mm up to and including 20 mm rounds.  No tracer rounds are allowed on the Barnes range.  90 firing points have moveable tables and stools.  10 firing points are for benchrest shooting and all benchrest firing points have tables and stools set in concrete.

Pistol Range

The Pistol Range is a 50 point range with target holders prepositioned at 25 yards and 50 yards.  Shooters may practice shooting at closer ranges if they have their own target holders.  Only handguns are permitted on the pistol range.  No tracer rounds are allowed on the Pistol Range.

200 Yard Range

The 200 Yard Rifle Range is a 10 point range with target holders prepositioned at 200 yards.  Calibers permitted on the Barnes range vary from .17 mm up to and including 20 mm rounds.  No tracer rounds are allowed on the Barnes range.  

Trap Range

There are 4 trap fields at the AGC Trap Range.  Traps 1, 2, and 3 are conventional traps.  Trap 4 is a coin-operated wobble trap.  Range badge holders and their guests may use the wobble trap at any time (unless it is reserved on the AGC Calendar for a club activity) by calling the AGC Range Safety Officer and requesting that the trap be opened (after presenting a valid AGC range badge.)  The AGC Trap Range is open to public use on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.  12 Gauge and 20 gauge ammunition is available for sale during the hours of Public Trap operation.  Fees for a round of trap are $3.00/round for shooters holding a valid AGC range badge, $5.00/round for shooters not having a valid AGC range badge, and $2.00/round for Juniors.

Air Gun Range

A 6 lane, indoor Air Gun Range is located inside of Memorial Hall on the AGC trap range.  This facility is opened only upon request to the AGC Range Safety Officer after an AGC member in good standing makes the request.

Archery Range

Three targets are available on the Archery Range.  Only target style points are allowed on the Archery Range.  An elevated platform is available to all shooters to simulate tree stand shooting.  This facility is opened only upon request to the AGC Range Safety Officer after an AGC member in good standing makes the request.
